Privacy
What personal data is collected, why and for how long.
Updated
This site is run by Maren Vik, photographer, Bergen, Norway. It collects as little personal data as possible and never sells it.
What is collected
- Enquiries: name, email, company and project details you send through the contact form or by email.
- Clients: billing details and correspondence needed to deliver a commission.
- Models and sitters: name, contact details and a signed release for any shoot you appear in.
Why it is used
To reply to enquiries, plan and deliver commissions, send invoices and keep the records required by Norwegian accounting law.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after 12 months. Client and invoice records are kept for five years. Model releases are kept for as long as the images are in use.
Who it is shared with
Only the services needed to run the studio: email, accounting software and file delivery. Each is bound by a data processing agreement.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time, and complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian data protection authority. Write to hello@marenvik.test and you will get a reply within 30 days.
